I've noted that LeCreole has uploaded new version 2 of LoSIOC. How to start it, configure it... ?

See my site in download section, there is a short vidéo tutorial for LOSIOC Manager and see this post for LOSIOC Editor tutorial.

Cheers!

EDIT - Erm, I have to ask about the install procedure...

1. How do I make it work with LO?
2. What it the order to start the apps?
3. Do I need som eLUA script and how to enable it?

Thanks!

Hey mate..!

have you sorted out the questions yet? If not give me a Buzz on MSN and we'll work it out togerther.. Untill LeCreole have the English version of LOSIOC out I can help you with the french version as much as I remember..

Ps. As far as your mentioning the "other" digital output card it connects through SIOC just like the Mastercards, and as such should run just like them in LOSIOC. Only you all of a sudden have a sh**load more outputs.!

It's this USB Outputs card you mean right?

Also I recomend getting the USB Expansion card.. mainly because it has for Analouge/Digital converters inbedded in it, sorting your Potmeter and axis problems. It connects via USB so it's easyer to set up and run if you ever need to change or move your pit. AND I promise you that however small your project is planned today, IT WILL GROW..! And you'll most likely need more than one mastercard anyway! I think I have almost exhausted all the In/Outputs on one mastercard just for the lower left Panel and Left rear wall in my Ka.50 Pit already..!

Hola Triggerhappy!
Yes, I figured the way outputs are working. It was rather confusing as manual said "pin 1 is 5V, pin 2 is GND" and thats all mad.gif Thanks to your links I figured out that only GND is important and you create a simple grid (matrix) with other pins.

Yup. I will study that later on. For start I would like to experiment with small sh**load megalol.gif

Well, my main problem right now is - I do not know French blushing.gif (I have a piece of paper next to my monitor with list of button names just to enable me to navigate this forum)
What I understood so far is that LoSIOC editor edits LUA that will be used by LO to communicate with SIOC, wright? If so, then I will have to wait for English translation of LoSIOC, and for English tutorial on how to set up SIOC with LUA. Using babelfish on this forum gives me more headache then answers blink.gif

It would be a nice thing if there is a package with prebuilt SIOC and LUA scripts with a schematic of corresponding wiring. Nothing fancy, just to display few simple things, like langing gear / flaps / airbrake(s).

If I got this wright as well, you have to adapt SIOC to use your specific I/O ports. But, for a begginer this is the hardest part. One good example on how to connect landing gear with ready scripts AND wiring schematic will be most helpful, as I can study that and later on I will be able to connect other thingies.

Thanks for help/reding/support

Ok, stay cool... wink.gif

First, you have your mastercard linked to your PC via direct printer link, or via an USB expansioncard.

Then, one the SIOC programm is installed on your computer, you must configure it so that it may dialog properly with the cards.

At this point, what you must unederstand is that the SIOC is a programmable interface. It gets some datas from the Mastercard and sends them to an other interface program. Of course it can do the contrary to manage the outputs.

For Flighsim the interfacing program is FSuicp that directly sends or catches data in Fs shared memory.

For LockOn it is a litlle bit different. We use an LUA script that is linked to LockOn's main LUA. This last one is the one used by LockOn to interface with your joystick, keyboard, mouse, etc... In this LUA are wrinten the exchanging datas.

You can use a standard export.lua with an Loiocpserver.lua to exchange datas with the SIOC.
Then you must edit an .ssi program with the SIOC so that you may link variables from the SIOC to variables from the Loicpserver.

The purpose of Lecreole's programe is to "simplify" this procedure. Using his program, you may link your datas, define subroutines, or insert "prebuilted" ones. Then Lecreole's software does the rest, generation the appropriate .lua to be linked with the export.lua and the appropriate .ssi to manage the SIOC.

@Maraudeur

Parallel connection, will get USB in future to connect another mastercard.

I understand in what way SIOC communicates with FSim. I know that you need LUA for LO. But - do I have to configure something (and what and how) using SOIC, or I can do that with LoSIOC (and how)?

There is a file "example.ssi" in Losioc folder, but what do I do with it? I've downloaded the Manager video tutorial, but the clicking is way to fast to follow. (And everything is in French. My Russian is far better.)
Sorry, you speak French, you follow this project, some things are quite obvious or natural to you guys, but not to me... Week ago I tried to send a PM to someone, but as I got no reply I guess that I must have clicked something wrong. Just to navigate this forum I have to find another forum and compare options according to the layout blushing.gif

You say:
CITATION(Maraudeur @ 12 Jul 2008, 16:27) *

Then you must edit an .ssi program with the SIOC so that you may link variables from the SIOC to variables from the Loicpserver.

But then you say:

So, do I need to configure something manualy with SIOC or I can do everything with LoSIOC (and how)?

@gillesdrone - ehm?

I give up. What a waste of money and time.
Thanks for your help, but I do not speak French. Took me 5-6 attempts to find reply button in your forum.

Anybody wants to buy MSC card?
