The 3 airfields in Tblisi (Tblisi-Lochini, Vaziani and Soganlung) all lies within Tblisi TMA (Terminal Manouver Area). There are 4 ranges in the vicinity of Tblisi: Marnueli range, Tetra range, Dusheti range and Tianeti range. All ranges are close to Tblisi TMA, see full brifing for map overview of Tblisi TMA and range airspace. Mission briefing This mission is designed for conducting all sort of training within the 132nd Virtual Wing including live fire exercise and aerial refueling. This training mission can facilitate for IQT (Initil Qualification Training), MQT (Mission Qualification Training), CT (Continuation Training) and upgrades. 132nd Virtual Wing and various other virtual organizations are located in the Tblisi area. The 3 airfields in Tblisi (Tblisi-Lochini, Vaziani and Soganlung) all lies within Tblisi TMA (Terminal Manouver Area). Tblisi TMA Tblisi TMA is outlined according to the picture below: Once a aircraft leave the airport control zone around the airport, the pilot should push to Tblisi approach which have control of Tblisi TMA. All pilots must be in two-way communication with Tblisi approach when operating within Tblisi TMA, unless directed otherwise by tower controller. Tblisi TMA fequencies: Primary frequency: 127.200 (Preset #3, VHF) Secondary frequency: 225.500 (Preset #1,UHF CORAL 11) -----Clarification TMA----- To clarify the use of TMA and the TMA frequency: In the Tblisi area there are 3 airports close together(Lochini, Vaziani and Soganlung). Each airport have its own controlzone, as shown by the Aries charts. This zone is fairly small, and tower is in charge of everything within this zone. Outside these three airports, there is established a TMA(Terminal Manouever Area) that handles all traffic in and out of the three airports. Currently we use the callsign Approach for the controller in charge of the TMA. So a normal mission runs like this: Contact tower/ground for operations on the airfield and within the towers small control zone. Once airborne , contact approach on the TMA freq for deconfliction within the TMA with regard to in and outgoing flights to the three airports. Once you leave the TMA push to either a MAGIC freq, range freq or as directed. When coming back to the TMA, contact approach before entering the TMA, state intentions and fly according to Approach directions to your designated airfield. Once you are about to enter the airfield controlzone (for example at the entry points or when established on ILS long final, or as directed by approach) you push to tower frequency for landing clearance. The idea is that Approach and the Towers have communication, so when Approach have a flight entering TMA bound for Lochini, then Approach will inform Tower at Lochini so he is prepared. Note: this small clarification, instruction, callsigns is just temporary until the 176th publish a new version of the SOP/ or any operating instructions for airspace/airfield ops. -----Clarification TMA ends----- There are 4 ranges in the vicinity of Tblisi: Marnueli range, Tetra range, Dusheti range and Tianeti range. All ranges are close to Tblisi TMA. Ranges All four rangs have HUMWEE's and Manpad units for JTAC's and pick-up by the Huey. Tactical ranges have targets that can be moved and placed using combined arms to create tactical scenarios. Detailed information about the use of each range can be found in each range order. The range order contains information about frequncies, airspace, targets and other important information. Marnueli range Marnueli range is located SOUTH of Tblisi and is a basic range for training basic weapon delivery. Marnueli range order:Marnueli range order Tetra range Tetra range is located SOUTHWEST of Tblisi and is a tactical range for tactical weapon delivery. The range is ideal for scenariobased training. Tetra range order:Tetra range order Dusheti range Dusheti range is located NORTHWEST of Tblisi and is a combined basic and tactical range. The range is suitable for both basic weapon delivery and tactical weapon deliveries. Dusheti range order:Dusheti range order Tianeti range Tianeti range is located NORTH of Tblisi and is a combined basic and tactical range. The range is suitable for both basic weapon delivery and tactical weapon deliveries. Tianeti range order:Tianti range order FARP's Marnueli, Dusheti and Tianeti range have FARP's in vicinity of the range. Information about the FARP's can be found in the range orders. Aerial Refueling KC-135: TEXACO FREQ: 150.00MHZ , TACAN 05Y, orbit 13000ft at 220kts in a 50nm EAST-WEST track from the city of Gori (Gori is most eastern point in tanker track) ==================================== ANNEXES : ATO explanations : Sets A tasking order consists of several of the following sets: VTASK: Virtual Task TASKUNIT: Tasked unit AMSNDAT: Air Mission Data MSNACFT: Mission Aircraft AMSNLOC: Air Mission Location GTGLOC: Ground Target Location PKGCMD: Package Commander ARINFO: Air to Air Refueling CONTROLA: Controlling agency JTAC: Joint Terminal Attack Controller AMPN: Amplification Not all sets are mandatory.
