The 132nd want to invite the 3rd Wing to participate on our next complex mission in the Operation Georgian Thunder Campaign, mission number 5 so far.

This will potentially be a very large event, spanning over several hours, and for the mission designer to prepare the mission as best as possible, I highly encourage and request that participating flighs do a preliminary sign up on OP Georgian Thunder MSN 5 forum thread here:

The event, with final taskings an signups will be availeble at the latest 17th of february.

The 132nd will conduct advanced training events Sunday the 7th and 14th of february for pilots that want to get familiarized with working with a human ATC and human AWACS, and get customized to the procedures (We also conduct standard trainings on wednsdays, where participation is possible).
For anyone that want to attend the event and do not have access to the 132nd website, please send me a pm, and I can create a user on the 132nd forum.

Very good training last night. Was a bit nervous but everything went smoothly after all. Of course, there is still a lot of room for improvement on my side. But overall it was great.

@962nd: est-ce qu'il y a des volontaires pour du contrôle AWACS (AA) pour cette mission ?

Comme le 132nd nous fait profiter de son (immense) expérience AG, on pourrait leur rendre la pareille en contrôle chassou. Je ne sais même pas si il y a d'autres chasseurs que ceux de la 3rd du coup l'anglais n'est pas vraiment super important.

Ca vous dit ?

Ne vous vexez pas, je suis ignare vis à vis du 132nd.

Je suis assez d'accord, 1 vol no soucy, 4 différents c'est un peu pénible...

Oui il faut enlever les vols par escadron et laisser le global 3rd avec tous les participants

ou sinon, créer des groupes suivant les escadrons, ça marche aussi

J'ai fait ainsi cette fois-ci parce que souvent le vol global ne reflète pas suffisamment la réalité (dans le cas des COMAO 132nd).

Pour la prochaine fois est-ce que ça irait si je laisse le vol global pour les pré-inscriptions, fragmenté (si 5 slots suffisent), et créer les vols uniques après la mission, fermés directement ?

@all je vous encourage a donner également une date limite pour les inscriptions (mieux vaut un inscrit qui ne vient pas dimanche que l'inverse), par politesse pour la quantité de boulot nécessaire pour l'orga de la mission.

Currently we have a limited amount of controllers availeble as AWACS controllers, so if the 3rd wing would have the oppertunity to support with a Air-to-Air controller that would highly increase the output for the entire event.

Not mandatory of course, and we will be able to support the mission without it, but the AWACS support will potentially (hopefully not) be somewhat degraded

OKey, Neck, I'll try to find another wingman , set me free and get my ass in an AWACS

If can't find one, there is two solutions :
-1, we don't change anything and I stay as wingman, and Spat & I are going to make the CAP mission.
-2, you don't have enough controlers for this mission, I try to convince Spat to get controler with me (one of us as AWACS and the other as ATC ?)

I would say we stay with solotion 1, you and Spat stay as CAP. We need both CAP flights:)
I will function as AWACS controller, but dont expect my 100% focus, as I need to be AWACS for both A-G and A-A.

We have ATC controller, so just want to reach out in case you guys had a A-A controller availeble.
(And I think you still should fly the mission as a pilot Photun)

Debrief:

Du bon nettoyage coordonné en tenaille sur les deux villages au nord de l'IP A06. Puis en route pour l'IP A05 mais nos deux appareils se sont retrouvés trop séparés (petite difficulté pour moi à passer un col à cause du channel SAS altitude engagé que j'avais oublié). Du coup, peu de couverture même si l'approche en tenaille prenait bien forme. Malheureusement, le tungunska qui protégait les trois Smerchs était en flanc de colline hors de ma vue. J'ai juste eu le temps de voir la fumée de son premier missile deux ou trois seconde avant qu'il percute l'appareil d'Etcher. 1 moteur en feu. Puis deuxième missile et c'etait la fin de Dragon 2:



J'ai tenté une approche sur le côté où j'avais une bonne visu sur deux des 3 smerchs que j'ai engagé cannon. Puis, j'ai tenté une approche en douceur vers là ou étaient partis les missiles et le tungunska m'a engagé au cannon au travers les arbres avant même que j'ai pu l'apercevoir. Il m'a litteralement pulvérisé en trois rafales. Rien pu faire.



Encore pas mal de monde sur la Killbox W6 et surtout autour de la ville de Java.

Domage ' avec la dcs2 les IA ne te vois plus a travers les arbres quoi que là avec son radar le tugunska te vois

Au radar peut être mais peut il tirer canon au travers des arbres du coup?

Dans la vraie vie surement ' il fait du jardinage à l'obus mais dans DCS2 vu le stoppage brusque quand on se paie un arbre , peut être que les obus seront stoppés

Nous pas beaucoup à manger mais tres bien amusés quand même
